John at Lucas Creek - Stream Restoration Video
Monday, February 21, 2011 at 7:06PM
Hey all,
Last year John lent his knowledge to a streambank stabilization/ restoration project down in New Zealand. The project took place near Auckland and was a nice showcase for some pretty innovative techniques. John does a great job outlining and discussing the project in this post. He also gave some great updates from the road here and here.
We really wanted to get a Dirt Time crew down there in order to capture the project for a new video. John's partners were quite excited for this too. Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts kept the Dirt Time cameras from making the trip. Buuuuttt, the North Shore City Council and the Auckland Regional Council did secure another video company to document this exciting project. We think they did a great job. You can view the full video below:

Great project! Great video!
I'd love to see the flood flows if you can post the video or email it to those who are interested.
Keep up the good work!
Marcia
Dear Sir,
I visited your Lucas Creek ste on March 3, 2011. The winter storms blew a lot of BMP's out.
I took a lot of photos I have yet to download from my camera.
I will provide them in the near future.
